Terms of Service

1. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to your use of Kollek.

Private messaging is only available to users aged 18 and over who have confirmed their email address. You can report anyone who breaks these terms from their profile or a conversation.

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done with your account. Give accurate information and tell us at the contact address below if you think your account has been used without your permission.

One person, one account. Usernames that impersonate someone else or are offensive may be changed or removed.

2. Your content

You keep all rights to the photos, texts, messages and other content you add to Kollek ("your content").

To run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize and display your content on Kollek, and to show public parts of your profile and collections to other users and in link previews. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users have already received in messages or that are kept in backups for a limited time.

Only post content you own or have permission to use. Do not post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not use Kollek to spam, scam or sell counterfeit goods.

3. Acceptable use

Do not try to access other users' accounts or data, disrupt or overload the service, scrape it in bulk, reverse-engineer it, or get around any limit or security measure.

We may remove content or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts other users or Kollek at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

4. Catalogue information and estimated values

Collection and item names, descriptions, images and estimated values are provided for information only. Values are estimates based on public price guides and market observations; they can be wrong or out of date and are not an offer to buy or sell, a valuation for insurance, or financial advice.

Brand names, characters and logos shown in the catalogue belong to their respective owners. Kollek is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

5. Kollek Premium

Kollek is free to use. Kollek Premium is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra features (such as more collections), billed monthly or yearly at the price shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; your Premium access then stays active until the end of the period already paid, and is not renewed.

Refunds: payments are not refunded and unused time is not refunded pro rata, except where the law requires it. Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital service; by starting your Premium subscription immediately you ask us to begin providing it straight away, and you agree that if you cancel within those 14 days you may be charged for the service already provided.

We may change Premium prices or features. Price changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you in advance so you can cancel if you do not agree.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep Kollek available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be interrupted, changed or discontinued. We recommend keeping your own copies of photos that matter to you.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will let you know on the site or by email before it applies. Continuing to use Kollek after that means you accept the new terms.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, for losses caused by other users, or for decisions you make based on estimated values. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium during that period, or £50 if you paid nothing.

8. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu ("Delete account"). Any Premium subscription is then cancelled immediately and not renewed. You can also ask us to delete it by writing to the contact address below.

9. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
